Lenape Bar Foundation

 

The Lenape Bar Foundation (“Bar Foundation”) promotes and supports the emotional, physical, behavioral, and spiritual well-being of Indigenous people and communities by providing comprehensive education services and education support services for all age groups.  The Bar Foundation encourages youth development, community cultural enrichment, and provides workshops, along with support and community engagement opportunities for the homeless, veterans, and disadvantaged Indigenous People.

Additionally, the Bar Foundation confronts the lack of knowledge plaguing the Indigenous Communities by providing legal aide for the common person, legal education services, and support for domestic abuse survivors whilst providing outreach to surrounding communities.

Fiscal Agent

 

Legacy Groups is the Fiscal and Contracting Agent for the District of Turtle Island (its parent company and church) as well as the Makanak Band of the United Eastern Lenape Nation.  Legacy Groups provides its community and people in outreach, each service it makes available to its tribal government, the federal, state and local governments.

Lenape Path Foundation

Lenape Path Foundation (the “Foundation”), promotes and supports the emotional, physical, behavioral, and spiritual well-being of Status and Non-Status Indigenous people(s) and indigenous communities.  The Foundation encourages youth development, community cultural enrichment, and focuses on community engagement opportunities with disadvantaged, homeless, and veterans.

The Foundation administers three scholarship programs through Legacy Groups:

1.  The Cedar Heart Nichols scholarship in Entertainment and Music;

2. The Bruce Stonefish scholarship in Education and Language;

3.  and The Education in Professions, Trades and Skills scholarship.
